#14654 - Tintype Two Privates with Bayonets artillery backdrop
This is a neat Sixth-Plate tintype of two Union privates in front of a studio backdrop of US Flag, Cannon, and Mortar. The standing trooper in a shell jacket has US painted onto his beltplate in gold. Both men's trousers a light blue tint. The seated trooper has his bayonet across his lap. Sadly, the tin has a soft crease (minor) and two nail holes at extreme top and bottom of plate where it was once likely nailed to a display. Flag was touched by photographer to red, white & blue. Also, a scratch across one chest is touched up. No mats or case. A cool image that would look great in your sixth-plate case. No ID known to troopers.
