#14661 - Black lacquer snuggbox with fancy lid metal inlay Snuff was still used during Civil War era. Here is a super black lacquer lidded box with intricate German silver border metal and center scrolled design. Hinge works nicely and closes smoothly. No maker markings. Top 2 3/4" by 2 1/2" with height of 1 3/8".
