#14921 - Civil War 2nd Lieutenant Shoulder Rank Board This is a Union Second Lieutenant's shoulder rank board. Hand-built from jaceron and braided gilt wires types over a stiff canvas backer and edging rolls. It is the slightly smaller size used later in war when wise officers wished to hide their rank from distant snipers. Open canvas back. About 3 1/8" by 1 1/8". It comes in a free Riker case for safe & easy future display.
