#15022 - Base Cup of Hotchkiss with Sabot from Culps Hill This is a nice combination of Hotchkiss shell base cup and its curled lead sabot. Recovered many decades ago on Culp's Hill in Gettysburg. This shell obviously burst and nose disintegrated into shrapnel. This comes from the Collection of Frederick Edmunds who owned the "Confederate States Armory & Museum" many years ago in Gettysburg.
