#15133 - Sixth plate Ambro of Dashing Artilleryman cased This is a very nice glass Sixth-Plate Ambrotype of a dashing Union artilleryman in his sack coat. Great contrast & clarity. No ID yet known but said to be bought from "Hull" family in Florida. (but still is unclear if soldier was named Hull). This comes in a full leatherette case with original fancy brass mats. Interestingly, a swatch of white linen was held in case. Maybe a memento sent to soldier by his lady fair???
