#15146 - Dug North Carolina Sunburst Wilderness RR cut This is a nice North Carolina State "sunburst" coat button with a green-brown patina. From private land in the Wilderness battlefield. It is uncleaned. As is normal with these, there is no shank. It was found in the area of the old railroad bed, so was probably lost by one of Lane's Carolinians just before Longstreet's flank attack. About 22 millimeters
