#15162 - European 1850s Large Bore patchbox Belt Pistol
This is a nice looking European belt pistol from 1830-1850s era with a stubby largebore 6 inch barrel. It has no ramrod. But does have a scallop-shell motif lidded patchbox for caps. Single shot percussion with backaction. The engraved hammer which may have a weld from long ago aligns well with nipple. The furniture is German silvered and engraved. Woods on grip checkered. Spring seems intact and cocks. Needs some work but still cool look for your display.
