#15389 - Thin bronze arm of a cross from CW camp
This is a bronze Orthodox Christian crucifix recovered in a 58 th New York Regiment camp in Stafford County Virginia. This was a camp with many Polish & Slavic heritage soldiers. Thus, the Orthodox branch. This was discovered buried with a stash of sutler's discarded goods. It is only one arm with Cyrillic writing on rear. A cool relic of soldiers' faith in holy protection during war. About 5/8 inch across arm.
