This is a dug Union Carbine Cling buckle for the crossed chest belt of a cavalryman. From the estate of Barry Jett who owned and hunted his own farms around Fredericksburg, VA. This has a frosty dark brown patina. Both tongues present but one frozen at extra side. Center bar slight bent as if belt forcibly torn off at the plate. No maker markings. It comes in a free Riker case for safe & easy future storage.
