#15506 - NCO Plate harshly damaged and melted in battle
This is a Union NCO's belt plate dug from an unknown Civil War battle site. The plate has cornerner bends to the heavy brass and its belt bar is cracked, indicating extreme physical forces. Also, there is adhered melted lead over one corner. This indicates a fire, such as the Wilderness forest inferno. Could also been tossed in a firepit with spent bullets to hold the warmth. No benchmarks or ID. It comes in a free Riker case for safe and easy future storage & display. A must for those who want the hard beaten pieces from real battle!
