#15576 - Union Civil War Cannon Vent Hole Pick Priming Wire This is an original iron "vent pick" used to puncture gunpowder bags pushed to the base of a cannon's tube. Also called a priming wire. No markings, but almost certainly Union. Rather slick. About 16 1/4" long.
