#15694 - Super Quarter Plate Tin of two Comrads from Maine
This is a big, original Quarter Plate tintype of two Union comrads from Maine seated before scenic pastoral backdrop. One is an officer and one has a kepi horn which I think bears an "8" in its coil. I want to say they are brothers. But no ID known. This came out of East Madison, Maine with no other information. It is housed under original glass and fancy pressed-brass mats. There is only a half of a pressed leatherette case with this image. Clarity and contrast are great. Soft creases in plate. Emulsion solid. A larger image with very nice content.
