#15965 - Battle beaten and repaired CW wooden Fife
I guess all musical instruments did not make it off the battle-field intact! This fife seems to be the victim of some violent event. The wood body is cracked through a finger hole mid shaft. And there are two improvised metal inserts placed in a finger hole and the mouth hole to extend its life (before the body split). Very unique signs of music on the battlefield. About 14 3/8" long. Walnut. No markings.
