#16028 - Rare 1932 GAR National 66 th encampment medal
This is a large, 4-pieced enameled ladder medal of the 1932 GAR National Encampment in Springfield, Illinois. It is the most-fancy National "Representative" medal with fancy designs & motifs upon a gold silk ribbon. The National Commander is shown on lowest bronze disc. Whitehead & Hoag of Newark, NJ produced the medal. It is in very nice condition. A killer piece! Not many of these were distributed due to it being the 66 th Encampment and few soldiers left to attend. Thus, more rare than earlier date medals. Comes in a free Riker case for safe & easy future display.
