#16036 - One Mean Momma Longbone Amputation Saw
I love these! An original Civil War era amputation saw for quick separation of big long bones, like humerus in arm or femur in leg. Solid with good serrated teeth intact. Minor stains on blade but no bad rusting. Cannot read any maker's marking. But has a "18" on underside of chromed neck. I believe the grips are hard gutta percha rather than wood. There is minor wear from use on grips (many legs gone...) These instruments would never have survive steam sterilizers later in Nineteenth Century. About 14" long.
