#16127 - 1865 Caseys Infantry Tactics of Lt. Chas. Tomes 84 NY This is a well-worn copy of Casey's 1865 Infantry Tactics III book. It was the property of 21 year old Lt. Charles H. Tomes of the 84th New York Regt. as inscribed in pencil on front leaf. He survived the war. The book has worn edges and is missing the spine cover. But all pages still bound. A couple pages inside are torn. But majority of book intact. Nice eagle embossed on covers. A very worn and damaged book, yet ID'd to a NY officer who studied tactics from it during the Civil War.
