#16569 - 1864 Ames marked NCO Sword with Inspector marks This is a Union Civil war NCO sword with the Ames logo on one side of ricasso. And the 1864 date/US/ and JF inspector marking on the other. Solid without any blade wobble. Blade fairly bright with minor peppering near tip but no rust. Marked on knuckle guard by JF as well. No scabbard. A nice example of a sergeants sword. Sadly, the shipping of swords has gone up because US Mail and UPS get very challenged on anything heavy or over 30" now.
