#17783 - 1864 Infantry & Rifle Tactics Manual with Questions
This is a nice CW era Military manual "U.S. Infantry & Rifle Tactics" published in 1864 by Joseph H. Riley Co, Columbus Ohio. Has nice embossed war eagle in gold on spine. About 6" by 4". 548 pages include text instructions, illustrations on pages, and fold out maneuver page. Also, has common military songs and marches in rear, as well as ads for other military CW books. The book is overall nice condition with everything present and easily readable. In past, binder was re-glued to pages at spine with old CW era hide glue. Holding very well with normal gentle opening cover. Could be restored more if you're a perfectionist, but not really needed. Also pencil notation inside back cover "3 48 Rogers", I believe. Possible owner or ID mystery.
