#15129 - Sixth Plate Dag of 1840 - 50s Lady in a Case
This is a sixth plate Daguereotype from the earliest era of photography in America. A formally posed lady. These were silver emulsion on a copper plate, so Dags have a mirrored shine when not angled correctly against the light. No ID known. This comes in a leatherette case. There are some scattered "snow" spots on plate.
