#15686 - Cased tintype of Union private seated in studio This is a sixth-plate tintype of a young Union private with a budding moustache. His buttons are highlighted gold by photographer. Sits in a studio format. No ID yet known. It comes in original glass, fancy brass mats and a full pressed leatherette case. There are two slight bend lines to tin plate in periphery which do not affect the image of the sitter. But emulsion flakes in thin lines along the crests of those old bends. Not offensive but needed to be mentioned.
