#16866 - Folk Art Carved Peach Pit Monkey In the years following the Civil War, peach pits from the famous Peach Orchard at Gettysburg were carved by local residents as cute souvenirs for returning veterans. This is exactly that type of carved folk art monkey.I cannot absolutely trace it back to Gettysburg, but I have others in my collection that came from there. Very Cute and detailed. About 1 1/4" high.
