#17168 - Horse Bit dug Gravely Springs, ALA. This is a horse bit dug at Gravely Springs, Alabama, a site of huge Union offensive push against the Confederates in that state late in the war. It has no bosses. Possibly from supply train animals. There is a snap clip with some leather attached to ring on one side. No maker markings.
