#17548 - CDV of Union private killed at Shiloh
This is a CDV of a Union private in his kepi with early war eagle plate upon his chest. Taken by John Cadwallader in Teledo, Ohio. Om rear of card is pencil ID, "Robert Jennings." There are several Union troopers from Ohio with that name, but were all teens except "Robert W. Jennings of Co. G. 70th Ohio Inf. He was 26, which makes sense for the more aged face on this card,. Robert was wounded at Shiloh, TN on April 6, 1862 and died soon after in Illinois on April, 23, 1862.
