#17586 - Sixth Plate Tintype Very Young Private and Lady This is a Sixth plate Civil War era tintype of a very young seated Union private. Beside him is a lady who could be his mother, sister, wife or camp concubine. No IDs yet known. Comes in a full lovely leatherette case. There is some crazing & emulsion surface roughness over her lower dress, but solid, not flaking. Nice human side of soldiering.
