#17680 - Ninth Ambrotype with Gun Dagger in hard case This is a super ninth-plate glass Ambrotype of a dashing Union private in a slouch hat, shell jacket and a photographer-added "US" on his square belt plate. Best of all, he has a dagger and a revolver tucked into his belt. No ID yet known. Comes in its original fancy gutta percha hard case. The case has maker Littlefield, Parsons sheet in it still. Early war Ambrotypes are highly sought for their superb 3D effect. This item is NOT for sale
