#17683 - Sixth Plate Ambrotype of four CW sisters This is a cool civilian sixth-plate glass Ambrotype from CW era. Four sisters are posed in a horizontal format. One almost smiles! They touch each others shoulders tenderly. No ID yet known. Poignant reminder of who waited for news at home. Some background emulsion spotting. Corner glass broken under border mat (see pic). Comes in original fancy border mat and a half of a leatherette case.
