#17806 - Union Eagle plate dug at Gettysburg This is a Union eagle breast plate that was worn by privates on the cross chest belt. A great target! This was dug years ago on private land in Gettysburg. Digger marked back "Gettysburg" on rear lead. There is a small rim defect. Iron loops rusted away as usual.
