#17830 - 1835 Portfolio of Youth book This is a hard cover book "The Portfoli of Youth" which told interesting and wise short tales, as well as advised upon aspects of good character. 363 pages of interesting stories. Some engravings of children at play, sledding, foreign lands & mythology. This would have been read to a child who later fought in the Civil War. Has name of Thomas Stead 1836 in front. A great glimpse of our culture and thinking prior to CW. Wear on cover & spine but binding solid.
