#5745 - Model 1904 McClellan Saddle Seat
This is a cool item! It is a McClellan saddle seat Model 1904 Type 2 for the artillery from 1917-1918. These type saddles were used from Civil War through WWI. But this is a Turn-of-the-Century version as stated above. It has a light brown leather covering. The original brass "11 Inch Seat" saddle shield is still in place. Most of the rings and attachments for this seat are still present, including some original leather straps. (See pictures) Overall, in very good shape! Some nicks to leather here & there. Seat is strong & sturdy. An absolutely cool fixture for a military display. Can not ship this out of USA due to size & costs. About 21" by 9" by 14." Note shipping due to size & weight
